PSA Journal, Oct, 2001

Q Ira Current is Editor of PS & T. What does this stand for?

Leroy Lambright

A PS&T stands for Photographic Science and Technique and goes back to at least 1951 when it was a quarterly supplement to the PSA Journal. It was in 8 1/2 x 11 format and ran about 30 pages. The articles were very technical and contained formulae, graphs, chemistry diagrams and tables. Paul Arnold, recipient of the PSA Progress Medal (1981) was the original Editor.

Later, the quarterly was discontinued and PS&T became a feature in the PSA Journal. PS&T has published many articles by different authors since the late 50s. During this period, Ira Current, FPSA, has been Editor of the feature.
