Video Motion Picture

PSA Journal, Jan, 1999 by Christine Haycock

Christine Haycock, FPSA, Editor

Are you on the Internet? If so, are you aware of the video list servers that are available, or the many Web pages that offer instruction and advice? The topics range from the basic subjects such as simple editing to quite detailed technical subjects such as the audio capabilities of various VCRs and tapes. The PSA Web page also offers some information about the VMPD.

You might find list servers such as those controlled by Videonics or Draco most informative on many topics not related to just their products. They may be contacted by sending email as follows:

Majordomo@services.videonics.com - no subject - type "subscribe" in body.

Clam@aries.tucson.saic.com - subject - "add to list."

When you first subscribe you will receive instructions as to the rules and procedures to follow. Some web sites are:

   http://www, elitevideo.com http ://www.videouniversity.com
   http://videofile.com

And there are many more. I can be contacted at, "chaycock361@pol.net" if you wish additional information. Personally I have learned a great deal from these sites including much of the information published in our newsletter, The Reporter.
