The election for Photographic Society of American national officers will take place in 2005. The Nominating Committee has submitted the list of nominees to the Society Secretary and to the PSA Journal for publication in this issue of the Journal in accordance with the PSA Bylaws. All nominees have agreed to serve, if elected, for a two-year term, taking office at the close of the International Conference in Salt Lake City, 2005.
The slate of officers was prepared by the Nominating Committee under the chairmanship of Norma Mastin, FPSA. Committee members are James Dionne; Robert Hart, FPSA; Jean Marani; Louis Romain, FPSA, EPSA; and Reginald Wickham, APSA, PPSA.
Under the PSA Bylaws, Article VII, Section 5, petition nominations for these offices may be made by members. Details of the procedure may be obtained from PSA Headquarters. The last date for filing a valid petition this year is March 1, 2005.
If the offices are uncontested, the Secretary is authorized by the Bylaws to cast the ballot of the entire Society for the slate published here, and the candidates shall thus be declared elected.

PRESIDENT
Richard M. Frieders, FPSA
Richard is founder and President of RMF Products, Inc., and a designer of many electronic devices used in the audio visual and photographic industries. He joined PSA in 1969, became a life member shortly thereafter, and received his APSA in 1982 and FPSA in 1989. Dick Frieders started and directed PSA's Consumer Products Show, Photo U.S.A. from 1979 through 1983, and served as Conventions Vice President for 12 years. He organized the PSA Electronic Imaging Division and served as its first Chairman. Recent responsibilities included serving as International Conventions Committee Chairman for two years and as Chairman of the Chicago Chapter of PSA. He has been a popular judge and presenter at many clubs and conferences on the local and national level. Other hobbies include computers and amateur radio (K9DKP). He is currently PSA President.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Fred Greene, FPSA, EPSA
Fred is a businessman in the City of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and is the President of the Fisherman's Market Group of Companies. In 11995 Fred was awarded the "Entrepreneur of the Year" Award. He started photography in 1974 and joined the Photographic Guild of Nova Scotia where he won the Photographer of the Year trophy 8 consecutive times. In 1984 he began entering PSA and FIAP International Exhibitions, and since then, he has accumulated 100 PSA Gold Medals and 2000 other medals, ribbons, trophies, and Honorable Mentions. Fred has had more than 600 reproductions in exhibition catalogs, journals, books, newspapers, and newsletters. He has judged 26 sections at the international exhibitions. For many years. Fred has been listed in Who "s Who in many divisions; he was first 10 times in Color Slide and Nature Prints, 3 times first in Color Prints, 8 times first in Monochrome Prints, and he tied for first the first year in the Electronic Imaging Division. Fred won the PSA/CSD Portrait Of the Year competition three times. He is past Chairman of the PSA Exhibition Standards committee (1997-2004) and Past Chairman PSN European Affairs Committee (2000-2002). Currently Fred is serving as Executive Vice President.
SECRETARY
Carole B. Kropscot
Carole joined PSA in 1977. She graduated from the University of Michigan and the University of Chicago and taught French for a few years. She owned Images Unlimited Photographic Art gallery to represent photographers and sell custom-framed original photographs to decorate businesses and homes. Her current business is restoring old photographs. For the Electronic Imaging Division, she has been Secretary, brochure writer, editor of the News Column, and the EID column editor for the PSA Journal. She has earned a silver editorial for her articles and columns in the PSA Journal. Local camera club activities include being an officer, newsletter editor, program presenter, and PSA representative and her local camera club council. She lives in Kansas near her grandchildren. Currently, she is the PSA Secretary.
TREASURER
Lynn Thompson
Lynn graduated from Saint Cloud State College in Saint Cloud, MN, with a major in accounting. He passed the CPA exam in California and worked for the State of California, Board of Equalization, as a tax auditor for 32 years. The last 20 years were spent in their Chicago office where he supervised audits of major companies headquartered in the Midwest and doing business in the State of California. Lynn's fascination with photography began 25 years ago when he purchased his first 35mm camera. Lynn became a member of PSA in 1983. He joined the Central DuPage Camera Club in the Chicago area and was active in the area until his retirement in 1997 when he moved to Sun Lakes, AZ. Since his move, he has been active with several camera clubs in the greater Phoenix area and was the chairman of the Saguaro International Nature Salon for four years. He is past treasurer of the Techniques Division and currently Treasurer of the Color Slide Division.
