Sarah Louise Stull, FPSA
Sarah Louise Stull, FPSA, passed away on March 21st in Carol Stream, Illinois at age 84 following a brief period of hospitalization. She had moved to Illinois 3 years ago to be near her family.
Louise was a graduate of the University of Illinois, and worked there as a librarian for 20 years before moving to Fresno, CA. She was a librarian and instructor for 20 years at Fresno State University until her retirement in 1982.
She had been a member of Fresno Camera Club and the San Joaquin Valley Camera Club Council since 1960, and served as President of both. She was a member of PSA since 1964 and served in many capacities, such as Star Rating Director of Nature Division and Area Representative, for many years. She was a multi-star exhibitor, and was very near applying for her Galaxy in Nature. She was General Chairman of the Fresno International Salon for many years, and had an excellent reputation for managing it, insisting on strict compliance to the rules. She was also a valued judge of slides for many camera clubs and international salons. Louise was awarded the Associate of PSA in 1985 and became a Fellow of PSA in 1990.
She lived to photograph nature and wildlife, traveling extensively. She had shown many of her travel and nature programs to clubs and organizations. Louise always took time to give encouragement and hands-on help to anyone interested in photography.
Louise is survived by her sister, Isabel, and many nieces and nephews.

Martha V. Edman, APSA
Long-time Society member Martha Viola Edman, APSA, of Bremerton, Washington, died the 10th of April at the age of 92 after a long illness.
Martha married Erik Edman in 1943. She was a homemaker, but worked as a sail technician during World War II.
Martha and Erik Edman joined PSA in May, 1959. They were charter members of the Puget Sound Chapter of PSA, which was chartered in 1969. Martha was elected Associate of the Society in 1976. An active international exhibitor, she entered salons in Nature, Color Slide, Photo Travel and Photojournalism Divisions, earning many stars including Diamond rating in Nature in April 1997.
She was an early member of the f:67 Camera Club of Bremerton and later the Pacific Northwest Photographic Society in nearby Silverdale, WA. Both clubs are members of the Northwest Council of Camera Clubs (NWCCC). The prestigious NWCCC annual Progress Award was jointly awarded to Martha and Erik in 1989 for their work for the Council, the photographic community and the camera club. At the Annual Show of the f:67 Camera Club, Martha and Erik were honored for 40 years of service to the club, serving as chair or director of a club function most every year. Pacific Northwest Photographic Society awarded lifetime memberships jointly to the Edmans in 2000.
Martha is survived by her husband of 58 years and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gordon Chewter
Gordon Chewter of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada passed away recently at the age of 80 from cancer. He joined PSA in 1967 and was active in Hamilton Photographic Society and Latow Photographers' Guild in Burlington. He was a willing volunteer who helped greatly by assisting in such events as his club's Art Market. He was a master in black and white prints. For those who did not know Gord, he always had a smile on his face and a glint in his eye. He will be missed.
