Rock slab photography

PSA Journal, July, 2004 by Richard E. Kolson

Would you like to try something new and unusual to photograph? Craig Carver, FPSA, has an idea for photographers of all levels in this program as he explains rock slab photo techniques. Craig says "The plain exteriors of most rocks belie their potential as photographic subjects. The designs and colors within many rocks rival paintings of abstract artists and can often be reminiscent of familiar objects." This presentation is a "How To" program describing the methods that are effective for making striking images from rock slabs.

The program includes where to find appropriate and interesting subjects, and the equipment needed (which most photographers already have) to properly capture the images! Both nature and pictorial photographers will find this program of interest for expanding their horizons. (Program #88-30 minutes--133 slides)
