Manhattan Miniature CC's "Another Monday"

Manhattan Miniature CC's regular meetings are held the first and third Mondays each month: the first Monday for holding competition, and the third for programs. About six years ago a few members got together on the in-between Monday at a member's home to review and critique each other's slides outside the pressure of competition. The discussion offered suggestions for improvement and sometimes a frank opinion that an image would not score well in competition.

That initial meeting, hosted by member Carol-Ann Rogus, was repeated several times and became so productive that Carol-Ann volunteered to continue hosting it every month. Thus it became known as the Second Monday meeting.

Later it was found that the second Monday was not always available and the group met on any other available Monday. So the Second Monday meeting became known as Another Monday.

At Another Monday meetings, members may bring up to ten slides for discussion. To recompense for the social aspects, each contributes $2 to pay for the cost of refreshments, as well as the cost of replacement projector bulbs.
