On July 28, 2004, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) presented Josef Sudek: Poet with a Camera, a major group of photographs by a leading Czech photographer of the 20th century, Josef Sudek. For five decades, Sudek photographed life in and around Prague, creating a very personal body of work.
His introspective images and the expressiveness of his work led him to be known as the "poet of Prague."
