'Face to Face' Campaign - Brief Article

To raise awareness about women's rights in the new millennium through the Internet, check out the Face to Face campaign co-sponsored by the United Nations Population Fund. Through its Web site, www.facecampaign.org, you can send a postcard with the message that says "Fact: more than 120 million women have undergone female genital mutilation, with 2 million more at risk each year".

Another postcard reads: "Women own only 1% of the world's land and receive only 1% of the world's income". The international campaign aims to publicize the plight of millions of women and youth denied basic human rights and build support for increased funding for reproductive health services around the world.
