Chewing over trade policy

As part of a new trade deal, Singapore may partially lift its ban on U.S. gum. Under the arrangement, sugarless gum could be prescribed by dentists and sold in pharmacies. U.S. Trade Representative Robert Zoellick charitably, dubbed the new market "a modest entry point."
