Having decided against a 2004 presidential bid, once-and-future candidate Gary Hart is preparing to throw his hat in the ring for another campaign: his old U.S. Senate seat in Colorado. Why would the 66-year-old reenter the political arena when he's already passed up the big prize? Hart reportedly believes that he can provide much-needed expertise on national security--he co-chaired the U.S.
Commission on National Security that issued a wanting about terrorist attacks in January, 2001. When asked to confirm or deny his candidacy, Hart responded, "No comment."
