RANKINGS: Top-performing stock mutual funds—one year - Brief Article

[TABULAR DATA NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII]

HOW TO USE THE TABLES: Annualized Total Return is the change in per-share price over the time period, plus reinvestment of all dividends and capital-gain distributions, stated on an annualized basis. It assumes returns were compounded. Volatility Ranking measures variations in the rate of total return relative to other stock, taxable bond or tax-free bond funds over the previous three years. An asterisk means a fund is not yet three years old and that its volatility score may not be comparable with that of other funds. The wider a fund's swings, the more volatile, or risky, you should consider it. A 1 ranking is least volatile and 10 most volatile. Expense Ratio is the percentage of fund assets claimed by the fund annually for management fees and operating expenses. It is reflected in total return; load, a sales charge, is not. Yield (for bond funds) reflects the effects of expenses.
