Performing Arts & Entertainment in Canada, Autumn, 2001
The Hart House Theatre on the campus of the University of Toronto was the stage that launched many of Canada's most illustrious performing careers, like those of Kate Reid, William Hutt, Donald Sutherland and Lorne Michaels. Now threatened with closure, the Hart House Theatre is the beneficiary of Been Staged @ Hart House Theatre: The Alum Gala, a November 9 fundraiser featuring short performances by Dinah Christie, William Hutt, Rod Beattie, Ted Follows, Don Harron, Dave Broadfoot and a host of others.
