Jet, Sept 20, 1993
Actress-comedienne Whoopi Goldberg is being sued by T. Rex Productions for $20 million for allegedly reneging on a verb contract to appear in the film T. Rex, a movie that called for her to play a police officer partnered with a dinosaur named Theodore Rex.
Ms. Goldberg's side has contended that she did not make any commitment to appear in the film. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has set a Sept. 27 court date for the trial.
