Congresswoman Diane Watson hosts Hollywood In Black & White gala

Los Angeles Congresswoman Diane E. Watson recently celebrated Black History Month with the Hollywood In Black & White celebration at the Hollywood History Museum in Hollywood, CA.

Legendary performer Lena Horne and actor/singer Herb Jeffries were the major honorees.

Others honored during the gala were photographers Bill Jones and Harry Langdon, dancer Fayard Nicholas, singer Nancy Wilson, actors Sidney Poitier and Brock Peters, Hollywood Mayor Johnny Grant and Paramount Motion Pictures Group Chairman Sherry Lansing.

The exhibit featured memorabilia from Hollywood's Stars of Colors. John Connolly, president of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, was the master of ceremonies. Jason George of "Eve" TV fame was the co-master of ceremonies.
