SIMON SAYS YES TO $11 MILLION DEAL WITH EAGLES: Cory Simon, the 6-foot-2, 294-pound defensive tackle out of Florida State, speaks to media in Cleveland recently after he signed a five-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles worth a reported $11 million, including a $6 million signing bonus. "Finally, finally, finally," said Simon, who had missed two weeks of training camp due to contract negotiations.
"I'm ready to go. I'm in very good football shape ... I'm feeling great." Simon was the Eagles' first-round draft pick.
