MOURNING MAUREEN REAGAN: Legendary Oscar-winning actress Jane Wyman, mother of political activist, commentator and author Maureen Reagan, holds hands with Rita Mirembe Revell, the adopted daughter of Reagan, as they arrive for memorial services for Reagan at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento, CA.
Maureen Reagan, 60, the oldest of former President Ronald Reagan's four children, died at her home in Sacramento of skin cancer. On one of several trips to Africa for her father, Maureen and husband, Sacramento lobbyist Dennis C. Revell, met Ugandan Mirembe, whom they adopted in 1994. In July, President Bush signed into law a special measure giving Mirembe permanent residency in the United States. Maureen Reagan spent most of her last years as a national spokeswoman for the Alzheimer's Association. Her father, President Reagan, announced he had the disease in 1994.
