Hall Of Famers

Jet, August 23, 1999

The 1999 class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame pose with their busts following enshrinement ceremonies in Canton, Ohio. They are (top, l-r) former Buffalo Bills offensive guard Billy Shaw, ex-Rams-Colts-Raiders and Falcons running back Eric Dickerson, ex-Los Angeles Rams offensive guard Tom Mack, former Cleveland Brown tight end Ozzie Newsome and ex-New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor.

Dickerson ran for 13,259 career yards, third all-time behind Walter Payton and Barry Sanders. Newsome caught 662 passes in his 13 years with the Cleveland Browns. Taylor retired with two Super Bowl rings and a stack of glittering statistics. He totaled 142 sacks in his career and all but revolutionized his position with athleticism and mental approach.
