The daughter of Grammy-winning blues artist Muddy Waters was recently arrested by Florida authorities and charged with murder in the shooting death of a man during a drug deal nearly 10 years ago.

In 1996, Timothy Harrington, 19, was shot to death during a drug deal involving 1.3 kilograms (3 pounds) of marijuana, according to court records. Harrington's remains weren't found until 2000.

After determining the identity of the remains, detectives focused on Waters' daughter, Rosalind Morganfield, 34, and David Myhand, 38, of Gainesville.

Morganfield surrendered to police after a warrant was issued for her arrest. Myhand was later arrested and was being held without bond. Morganfield and Myhand were charged with first-degree murder and could get the death penalty, according to a spokesman for the Alachua County Sheriffs Office.

Muddy Waters, who was born McKinley Morganfield, was a Mississippi sharecropper-turned-Chicago bluesman who modernized the Mississippi Delta blues by adding an electric guitar. Waters, made famous by such songs as Rollin' Stone and Mannish Boy, died in 1983.
