Ebony Fashion Fair: hits Schaumburg, IL, and Milwaukee with 'living it up'

Once again the EBONY Fashion I Fair made its way to Schaumburg, IL, and Milwaukee.

This time the world's largest traveling fashion show hit with "Living It Up," a fashion extravaganza that featured alluring creations by some of the world's biggest names in fashion design.

A silk chiffon and ostrich feather gown by Eric Gaskins New York, a silk brocade dress, coat and matching boots by Oscar de la Renta Couture, New York, and a silk chiffon gown with matching silk fringed coat from Missoni, Italy, were among the outfits that had audiences awestruck.

Designs were shown for just about any occasion. From leather to fur to jeans to gowns, you name it and you saw it. Even swimwear was modeled.

Two handsome male models were a hit as they showed the guys in the audience some of this season's hottest and latest creations.

The Schaumburg show was held at the Seville in Streamwood, IL, and was sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. It benefited the Profit Through Knowledge Scholarship Fund.

The Milwaukee show was sponsored by the Cream City Chapter of the Links, Inc. It was held at the Pabst Theater and benefited the Scholarship Fund.

Commentator Jada Jackson Collins was chic in a crystal beaded spaghetti strap gown with cascading train from Oscar de la Renta Couture New York.

Joslyn Pennywell models a transparent gown embroidered with sequins and beads and worn with an arm-draped stole.

Raquel Atkins wears a sheared fur vest with fur pom pom ties, a matching halo fur hat and faux crocodile pants from Mitchie's, Canada.

Noelle Carter struts the runway in Missoni, Italy's print silk chiffon gown with a jewel encrusted harness.

Full-figure model Channon Monroe wears a beaded floral slip dress with fringe hemline and fringe trimmed stole from Mon Cheri, East Coast Designs.

Joy Jones models a handkerchief hem silk brocade skirt with waist laced taffeta blouse and fedora hat designed by Rocco Barocco, Milan.

Alexandria Hepburn enthralls the audience in this flirty tiered fringe cocktail dress with coordinating leather jacket from Givenchy Couture, Paris.

Andrea Keesee models a cotton knit cat suit with cable knit fringed sweater from Lew Magram, Wilmington, North Carolina.

Alicyn Chappelle lit up the stage in this rainbow sequined column gown with one sleeve and thigh-high split designed by Marc Bouwer, New York.

Wendy Wiltz shows off a silk jersey column gown with rhinestone anchor broach and asymmetrical hemline from Nicole Batik, Chicago.

Erica Ward turns heads in a fluted ruffle camisole and short set with removable pleated ruffle skirt from Pink Frog, Chicago.

James Furlow models a seven-eights length suit jacket with contrasting jacquard window-pane vest.

Obon Jones also wears a seven-eight length suit jacket with contrasting jacquard window-pane vest.
