Nicole Parker & Boris Kodjoe welcome baby girl
Jet, April 4, 2005
Nicole Parker and fiance Boris Kodjoe recently became the proud parents of a baby girl.
Parker gave birth to the couple's first child, Sophie Tei-Naaki Lee Kodjoe, on March 11, publicist Jessica Cohen said in a statement. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces.
The name Tei-Naaki is Ghanaian for "first-born daughter," the statement said.
The happy couple celebrated baby Kodjoe's soon-to-be arrival with family and friends during a recent roller-skating baby shower in Los Angeles (JET, Feb. 28).
Parker and Kodjoe quietly became an item while they portrayed girlfriend and boyfriend Teri Joseph and Damon Carter on the hit Showtime drama "Soul Food." The two continue their TV romance as they now play a divorced couple who remarry on UPN's "Second Time Around."
