Eriq LaSalle To Appear On `ER' For Three More Years At Reported $27 Million
Jet, Sept 6, 1999
"ER" fans who enjoy tuning in each week to watch Eriq LaSalle portray Dr. Peter Benton on the top-rated NBC drama will be happy to know that they'll get to see him in that role for the next three years.
LaSalle, according to Daily Variety, will earn a reported $27 million over the next three years for his role as Dr. Benton.
Warner Bros. Television wouldn't comment on the amount.
If applied only to the next three seasons, LaSalle's salary would be nearly $410,000 an episode--a hefty raise from his current $85,000 per show.
Scott Sassa, the West Coast chief for NBC, recently singled out LaSalle's character as one of the role models the network has been trying to foster for minority viewers.
