Ed Stewart, public relations director of Southwest Airlines, was promoted to senior director of public relations for the Dallas-based airline. As head of the public relations department, Stewart, a Milwaukee native who joined Southwest in 1990, is responsible for all media relations at the nation's fourth-largest major airline.

He also oversees the operation of the Southwest's national public relations firm.
