She is an art teacher with the New Orleans Public Schools. The groom graduated from Nichols State. He is pursuing an engineering degree at the University of New Orleans. After a romance-filled honeymoon cruise, the happy couple will make their home in New Orleans.

She is an accountant with Mirant Americas, Inc. The proud groom is a graduate of Georgia Tech University and Brenau University. He is a manager of an engineering team at Lucent Technologies. Lithia Springs, GA, is where the couple will live.

Diamond Anniversary: Mr. and Mrs. W. Harry Davis commemorated 60 years of marriage with family and friends at Sophia's in Minneapolis. Mrs. Charlotte Davis retired after 20 years in retail sales at Marshall Field's. Mr. Davis, a longtime civil fights leader and the first Black to run for mayor of that city in 1972, is a retired executive from the Minneapolis Star and Tribune newspaper. He also was a manager of the U.S. Olympics boxing team in 1984. They are the parents of four, the grandparents of 13 and the great-grandparents of one.
