Caption: LIFE-SIZED TRIBUTE: Minnie Minoso smiles in front of a life-sized sculpture of himself before he threw out the ceremonial first pitch at U.S. Cellular Field prior to the game between the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers in Chicago. After the Chicago White Sox unveiled the statue to honor his role in the club's century-long history, Minoso walked up to it, gave it a long hug and wiped his eyes while preparing to address the crowd. "I can't explain the way I feel in my heart today," said Minoso, who played parts of 12 seasons with the White Sox and had his No. 9 jersey retired in 1983. "That's my twin brother. I look at it this way: When God wants me to play for the other team up there, my brother will stay here, so you're going to be seeing me for quite a while. One way or another, I'm going to be there watching in center field."
