Caption: MICHAEL JACKSON ADDRESSES AIDS IN AFRICA ON CAPITOL HILL: The King of Pop Michael Jackson meets on Capitol Hill with members of Congress, including Reps. Bobby Rush (D-IL), Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) and Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) to confer about his upcoming mission to help fight AIDS in Africa. "What I want you to know is that whatever I can do to assist you in your fight, I will do," Jackson said in a statement directed to the Congressional Black Caucus.
The entertainer holds an award given to him by the African Ambassadors' Spouses Association while in D.C. in honor of his work fighting AIDS in Africa. Jackson has contributed $50 million to favored causes, including HIV/AIDS in Africa, according to a spokesman.
