Sandra Stevens Jackson, a longtime aide in Democratic affairs and at one time a Rainbow Coalition legal consultant, was named vice president of the Office of Congressional and External Affairs of the Export-Import Bank in Washington.

She will head the office responsible for communications to members of Congress and representatives of business and public policy organizations. She also will serve on the bank's policy committee.

"Sandra Jackson will be a great asset to this office," said Ex-Im Bank Chairman James A. Harmon. "She has significant experience coordinating government public policy programs and in working with members of Congress."

Formerly affiliated with the U.S. Information Agency, Jackson was the senior coordinator for public diplomacy programs, has worked for the Presidential Inaugural Committee and served as interim chief of staff to Rep. Cleo Fields (D-LA).

She is the wife of Congressman Jesse L. Jackson, Jr.
