Worlds Apart: The family of Lawrence and Theresia Orguba of Kenya (arrows) play host to the Palmer family of East Brunswick, NJ, while taping the national Geographic Channel's new reality show "Worlds Apart" in Africa. Each week, on e American family spends 10 days with a local household in a remote Third World village, participating in its custom and livelihood to experience first-hand how the other half of the world lives.

Chris and Susan Palmer (arrows) and their children enjoyed their experience and have made it a point to stay in touch with the Orgubas. "It's really important for people to do things like this, to take a step outside of their lives," says Susan. "It's expanded my horizons and made me see the world in a different way." The show airs Nov. 10.
