Virgis W. Colbert, executive vice president of Miller Brewing Company in Milwaukee, was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Manitowoc Company, Inc., in Manitowoc, WI. Colbert is responsible for all domestic and international brewing operations at Miller Brewing Co. The Manitowoc Company is a leading manufacturer of ice-cube machines, ice/beverage dispensers and refrigeration equipment.

Roslyn McCallister Brock, director of business & community development for Bon Secours Baltimore/Richmond Health Systems, recently was elected vice-chairman of the NAACP National Board of Directors. Brock, who has served on the Board of Directors since 1996 when she was elected as an at-large member, becomes the first female vice-chairman of the NAACP board.

Carroll Antoine, a graduate of Xavier University who joined the U.S. Navy 32 years ago in the office of the National Audit Service, has been named the Navy's first Black civilian deputy auditor general. Based in Washington, D.C., he and the auditor general direct the activities of about 480 employees of the Naval Audit Service and are directly responsible for execution of a $40 million annual operating budget.

Dominique Telson, director of original programming for Showtime Networks in Los Angeles, has been promoted to vice president, original programming for Showtime Networks Inc. Telson, who joined Showtime Networks Inc. in 1982, will be responsible for the development and production of various original movies and series for the company.

Ronald A. Williams, a former group president for the health insurer WellPoint Health Networks in Thousand Oaks, CA, and president of WellPoint's Blue Cross of California subsidiary, recently was appointed executive vice president and chief of health operations for Aetna Inc., the Hartford, CT-based company that is the nation's leading provider of health care and group benefits.
