Caption: HIT-AND-RUN RECOVERY: Eight-year-old Aquina Wilkins, who suffered a broken leg after a March 31 hit-and-run accident that killed her two brothers and injured another sibling, meets reporters with her mother, Malissa Wilkins, during a recent news conference in Tampa, FL. Bryant Wilkins, 13, and Durentae Caldwell, 3, were hit and killed as they walked home from a community center (JET, April 26). Their brother, LaJuan Davis, 2, survived. Police are questioning schoolteacher Jennifer Porter, 28, who admitted her involvement the crash. Authorities have said as many as three vehicles might have been involved in the incident.
