Caption: NO PLACE LIKE HOME: Famed photographer, writer, director and composer Gordon Parks, 91, signs autographs for fans and residents of his hometown of Fort Scott, KS, as he toured an exhibit of his work at Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott. "I have a strange feeling back here," he said. "I can't explain it. It's a strange mixture of the tragedies and the good things that happened here." Parks, who lives in New York, returned to his hometown for the first time in more than two decades to participate in a four-day celebration of his life and work called "Gordon Parks Celebration of Culture and Diversity." More than 200 people attended the event's lectures, panel discussions and movie screenings.
