EBONY Celebrates `The New Motherhood' In May Cover Story

EBONY'S May issue turns the spotlight on today's new moms who are getting back into action much sooner than mothers of any other era in the cover story "The New Motherhood."

The intriguing story also notes that celebrity moms are living proof that life does not have to stop for pregnancy. Today's modern moms never lose their sense of fashion and celebrate their pregnancies in designer-label maternity wear from jeans to evening gowns.

Gospel superstar Yolanda Adams tells EBONY that she performed right up until her daughter, Taylor, was born. Actress Jasmine Guy shares that she toured the country in the play Chicago and continued her role after her daughter's birth. And WNBA star Sheryl Swoopes-Jackson kept her newborn son near the basketball court, tending to him before and after games.
