Johnnie Cochran's family released a statement that read: "Our beloved son and brother, RaLonzo P. Cochran, was slain at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. I in Los Angeles. He was yet another victim of the senseless violence that so often permeates our society. A devoted father of three children, RaLonzo or `Flecky' as he was affectionately called, was 43, lived his entire life in Los Angeles and worked primarily in the construction and computer technology fields. Flecky was a decent, honest and caring person who will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him."
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Hattie B. Cochran Foundation c/o Martha Sherrard, 4929 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 1010, Los Angeles, CA, 90010.
