The Los Angeles home of the late basketball superstar Wilt Chamberlain recently sold for more than $2 million.

The Hot Property section of the L.A. Times reported that the house, in Bel-Air, had been on the market in 2000 for $7.45 million and later reduced to $4.4 million.

The late L.A. Lakers center's contemporary-style home sits on 2.5 acres, has six bedrooms, 7,200 square feet and is made of wood and glass. The master bedroom has a mirrored ceiling that retracts to view the sky. There is a triangular tub at the foot of the bed with 18-karat gold tile and a swimming pool that leads into the living room.

The paper said the buyers were a pair of young TV writers who wanted to remain anonymous.

Chamberlain died in 1999.
