DANCING THEIR WAY HOME: Students from the famed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre festively dance their way down Ninth Avenue in New York City from the theater's old home located on West 61st Street to the groundbreaking ceremony for the world acclaimed dance company's new $54 million, 77,000-square-foot home at 55th Street and Ninth Avenue pictured at left in artist's rendition. Artistic director Judith Jamison (not pictured) proudly led the procession for some of the way to the gala groundbreaking.
