WALK OF FAME HONOR FOR FRANKLIN: Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is presented with the Walk of Fame award by Debra Lee, president and COO of Black Entertainment Television (BET), during the BET 9th Annual Walk of Fame that was a tribute to Franklin in Washington, D.C. Previous BET Walk of Fame honorees have included Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle and Boyz II Men.

Franklin recently completed a "semi-retirement" tour, titled The Queen Is On, and is enjoying the success of her current CD, So Damn Happy (JET, Sept 29), her first project since 1998's A Rose Is Still A Rose.
