TIGER'S MILITARY TRAINING: Tiger Woods smiles as he arrives by humvee to a junior golf clinic at Stryker Golf Course at Fort Bragg, NC, recently. The clinic-which allowed 84 Fort Bragg youth to interact with the golf icon-was the culminating event to his four days of training with the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.

During the training, Woods fired weapons, parachuted twice 13,500 feet from a plane and awoke early for 4-mile runs. Woods said he was no stranger to military discipline, as his father, the retired Lt. Col. Earl Woods, used it to mold him into a legendary athlete.
