* PLANNING FOR A BETTER AFRICA: Former African heads of state (from 1) Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia, Nicephore Sogolo of Benin, Jerry Rawlings of Ghana (rear), Ali Hassan Mwinyi of Tanzania, Dr. Navichandra Ramgoolam of Mauritius and Ketumile Masire of Botswana, in a recent discussion about how to get their nations to share in the global economy, give a thumbs-up to the media before they held a joint news conference at Boston University (BU).
