Dayton mayor honored in Sarajevo

Dayton, OH, Mayor Rhine McLin (I) and Sarajevo mayor Muhidin Hamamdzic stand in unity after planting a "tree of friendship" in a park in central Sarajevo. A delegation from Dayton, which played an important role in ending Bosnia's war, arrived in Sarajevo for a four-day official visit. The peace agreement that ended the 1992-95 Bosnian War was brokered by the United States in the city of Dayton.
McLin and her delegation were received as dear friends, a statement from Sarajevo city officials said.
