Reed, who founded and named the Platters in 1953, was honored with a citation on the 50th anniversary of the release of his classic song Only You (And You Alone). The group has everyone "rocking and rolling" as the members sing the song. The Platters were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
