Hansel Tookes II Named President And COO Of Raytheon Aircraft

Raytheon Company announced the appointment of Hansel E. Tookes II as president and chief operating officer of Raytheon Aircraft Co. (RAC). He is the first Black to hold the position.
Tookes will report to Arthur E. Wegner, Raytheon executive vice president and RAC's chairman and chief executive officer.
Tookes will become CEO of Raytheon Aircraft in five months and chairman of the company following Wegner's retirement in about a year.
Said Wegner, "I have worked with Hansel in the aerospace industry for many years and witnessed his numerous accomplishments firsthand. I look forward to working with him again."
Tookes, 51, has been president of Pratt & Whitney's Large Military Engines group, based in West Palm Beach, FL, since 1996. He holds an M.S. degree in aeronautical systems from the University of West Florida.
Raytheon Aircraft manufactures aircraft for commercial, military and regional airline markets. It had revenues of $2.6 billion in 1998.
Raytheon Company also provides products and services in commercial and defense electronics, and engineering and construction.
