* AKON LIVE IN NEW YORK: Continuing Hennessy's commitment to encourage young talent, Hennessy X.0 recently presented multitalented new recording artist Akon during an exclusive listening showcase at LQ nightclub in New York City. Spotlighting his debut album Trouble, a collection of songs reflecting on his life, Akon performed with a live band, and his blend of soulful hip-hop was enjoyed by a mix of listeners who included celebrities Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child (whom he greets at left), rapper Erik Sermon and AJ from BET's 106 & Park. Akon is the newest artist on the Street Records Corp. (SRC) label. Hennessy is recognized for its strong base within the music community through a variety of events such as the Cognac Hennessy Jazz Search, the Hennessy Presents ... concert series and the Hennessy New Music Showcases.
