Rapper Nelly's jewelry valued over $1 million stolen in Vegas

Jet, Nov 17, 2003

Rap superstar Nelly was a major theft victim as more than $1 million in jewelry was stolen from his Las Vegas hotel room, authorities said.

Nelly was in town for the 2003 Radio Music Awards when the unnamed items were taken from his room at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino.

And Nelly wasn't alone. Singer Michelle Branch, also staying at the same hotel, reported that computer equipment was taken from her room.

Those burglaries are being investigated by the Las Vegas Police Dept.

Nelly won Grammy Awards earlier this year for his hip-hop hit Hot In Herrre and the duet Dilemma with Kelly Rowland.
