Church Donation

Stacy Fielder, president of NuBank financial and wife of retired baseball star Cecil Fielder, accepts an award from the Rev. Frederick D. Haynes, III, senior pastor of the Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas, after she donated $500,000 and pledged an additional $500,000 during the groundbreaking ceremony for the church's 60-acre project.

The church is building a multipurpose community that includes a school, athletic complex, office and retail space, a health clinic and an African-American Church Museum. The church has more than 6,000 members. Said Rev. Haynes, "Our mission is to equip changed people to change the world. This project will enable us to carry out that mission in a tremendous way."
