Marilyn Murrell (l), mayor of Arcadia, OK, and the newly elected president of the National Conference of Black Mayors (NCBM), presents the "Tribute To A Black American Award" to Myrlie Evers-Williams, president emeritus of the NAACP, at the recent 28th annual convention of the National Conference of Black Mayors held in Jackson, MS.

Joining in the festivities are Jackson Mayor Harvey Johnson and Denver Mayor Wellington Webb, who is outgoing president of the National Conference of Black Mayors.
