FAULK GETS A "W" IN THE COURTROOM: St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk smiles during a news conference in Macomb, IL, last July during training camp. A jury recently deliberated fewer than two hours before it ruled in favor of Faulk, 30, in a civil case accusing him of domestic abuse. The jury ruled against Faulk's former girlfriend, Helen Dunne, who also is the mother of three of his children.

Faulk, a former NFL Most Valuable Player, was awarded $125, even though he had sought only $1 in symbolic damages. Dunne accused Faulk of beating her, but the jury rejected those claims and found in favor of the player's accusation that Dunne had abused the legal process by suing him.
