* Orlando L. Taylor, Ph.D., vice provost for research and dean of the Graduate School at Howard University in Washington, D.C., has received the National Communication Association (NCA) Mentor Award for his teaching and leadership. Additionally, he has been appointed to chair the University of Massachusetts Amherst's Commission on Campus Diversity.
As dean, Taylor continues to lead Howard's efforts to make doctoral education more responsive to societal needs and student interests.
