War heroes get a country music salute

* WAR HEROES GET A COUNTRY MUSIC SALUTE: Army Spc. Shoshana Johnson, 30, of Fort Bliss, TX, is joined by fellow former Iraq War POWs Pvt. 1st Class Patrick Miller (c), 23, also of Fort Bliss, TX, and Chief Warrant Officer Ronald Young Jr., 26, of Fort Hood, TX, as they wave to the audience gathered at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas where the trio was honored during the 38th annual Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony there. The three soldiers were rescued by U.S. forces after they were held as prisoners for three weeks in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom (JET, April 14). Johnson, a cook and single mother, is recovering from gunshot wounds to both her ankles.
