MOM'S BACK MAKING MUSIC: Singer Jody Watley gets a loving hug from her son, Arie, 10, during the Rhythm & Blues Foundation "Philadelphia Soul Explosion" benefit concert, which was held at the Mint in Los Angeles. The Grammy-winning artist and former member of the '70s trio Shalamar performed at the event.

Watley returns to the music scene with a new CD, Midnight Lounge, her first U.S. release in eight years.
