Jennifer Beals becomes first-time mom

Famed actress Jennifer Beals and her husband, entrepreneur Ken L. Dixon, recently became the proud parents of a baby girl, according to recent news reports.
It is Beals' first child. Dixon has two children from a previous marriage. The child's name had not been released at JET press time.

Beals, 41, stars on Showtime's "The L Word." She rose to stardom as the lead in the 1983 dance movie Flashdance. Her other films include Devil In A Blue Dress opposite Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle, Runaway Jury and Roger Dodger.
