HONORING NASA's 100TH SHUTTLE MISSION: Famed singer Patti LaBelle sings renditions of the Star Spangled Banner and America the Beautiful to honor the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) 100th Shuttle Mission during a recent scheduled launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery. The day-long event took place at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Six days later, the shuttle carried seven astronauts to help construct the International Space Station.
